Following Your Passion Is So Cliche, But…

I hear it a lot. People tell ya, "Follow your passion. Do something you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life." That sounds so "nice," but let's get real. Is it really practical? Is that realistic advice or pie in the sky thinking that only works in theory?
My youngest daughter graduated from college this past weekend. The main speaker at the commencement exercises included that "follow your passion message" It was delivered by James Martin, a Jesuit priest and author. In his short keynote, he included his reasoning behind that message. You can fast forward to minute 6:10 to get to that part, but the entire message is good and worth your 11 minutes.
I'll warn you up front, his reasoning is godly as you would expect from a Catholic priest. If that's not your thing, don't say I didn't warn you.
