How Badly Is WordPress Plugin Mayhem Affecting Your Online Course Site?

We've run into some "interesting" Wordpress sites these past few months. We ran into one whose owner came to use to make some enhancements that had 115 plugins. That's the largest count we've encountered.

We recently worked on another Wordpress site that had 57. After we worked on it, we reduced the count to 24. That site did what it had previously did, with better performance and now it was much easier to enhance and maintain.
