How to Sell Expertise Without You Needing to Be There

When you're an expert, and by that I mean someone with skills people want and will pay you to service them, you have an option for selling your expertise you may not have considered.

You can, of course, use your skills to deliver services one-on-one like a lawyer, accountant, coach or a consultant does.

A second option is to package up what you know into a course or coaching program so customers needing your services can buy it without you having to be there to deliver it.

For example, think about a divorce attorney building a do-it-yourself kit for couples wanting a divorce. The couple agrees on a lot of things and want an option to sidestep expensive legal fees. The lawayer could build a "Divorce in a Box" course or package.

Another example is an accountant that builds a course for setting up your own corporation without having to pay someone to do it for you. It's a money saver for someone doing that for the first time.

Suppose you are a successful real estate agent and you have a system for getting listing using social media. You can package that into a course or coaching program with a membership site making the resources available for your realtors.
