Memberium and Fortapay for an Elegant My Accounts Page

Fortapay is a solution I discovered at ICON16 in early March. We use ourselves for our Larry Jacob Internet Marketing invoicing. We are now using it to implement the My Account page function on all the Memberium and iMember360 membership sites. The Memberium shortcodes work just fine and we have build many My Accounts pages using them.  The Fortapay enables us to provide a more elegant solution.  It provides features so members can:

  • review their past invoices,
  • update the credit cards,
  • review and update their subscriptions and
  • update their passwords.

It's as easy to implement as it would be to build the My Accounts page using the Memberium shortcodes, but provides a more completed interface and features.

Configuring Fortapay

The following video shows the steps our team uses to set up Fortapay.  Fortapay has excellent tutorials, but since the tool has many, many options, I'm sharing here the ones we use for our implementations.

Sending People Links to Update Credit Card

If you want to email someone a link to their Fortapay "My Accounts" page, you make use of links Fortapay provides to you. This is also handy if someone doesn't pay and is currently locked out of their membership site. You can send them this link and it enables them to go right in and update their payment information. This video show you how to do that.

A Fortapay My Accounts Page

Build the My Accounts page on a membership site using Memberium involves providing a link for accessing the Fortapay portal. In this video we illustrate how we do it. You can take it one step further by using the Memberium short code memb_redirect and landing the member there when they click on the My Account page menu item.
