Are You the Coke in the Desert Your Customers Want?
In Spanish we have the expression, “Se cree la última Coca Cola en el desierto.” In English it’s, “He thinks he’s the last Coke in the desert.” You use it when you run into someone who thinks too highly of themselves.
More often then not, I find that small business owners fall into the other category. They don’t talk enough about themselves and the incredible benefit they provide their customers. They might be that last drink in the desert, the one that might just keep someone from dying of thirst, but they don’t tell enough people or they tell it in such a way that people just don’t see it.
