Infusionsoft Pipeline Management Using Tags Instead of Opportunities

There are times when Infusionsoft opportunities are NOT the right choice for managing your sales pipelines. This is especially true when you have a lot of unqualified leads coming in from web forms on a website. Creating an opportunity for each prospect filling out the form generates a large number of opportunities that end up going quickly to a lost stage.

What we find works better is to create a set of tags to manage the sales pipeline and use opportunities only after the sales team members have qualified the lead.

In this video, I illustrate how we've done that for one sales team and how we make use of save reports, a simple widget on the Infusiosoft dashboard and two Infusionsoft internal forms to manage the sales pipeline. The interface is really easy for the sales team members to use.
